Legal Requirements
You must be able to read a number plate from a distance of 20.5 metres. Your Instructor will conduct a simple eye test on your first lesson. You must also hold a valid driving licence with either full or provisional entitlement to drive in the UK. Please bring your licence (photo card and counterpart) to each lesson.
Lessons
A suitable car will be provided for training, which is insured, taxed and has a valid MOT certificate
(if required). The vehicle will be fitted with dual controls for your safety, air-conditioned for your comfort and regularly serviced to the manufacturer's servicing schedule.
Payment
Please pay your Instructor before the start of each lesson.
Cancellations
24 hours must be given to cancel a lesson, no exceptions. Non attendance and failing to give the appropriate notice will result in being asked to pay for the missed lesson in full.
Theory & Practical Tests Your Instructor will advise you when to book your tests and how to prepare for them. We will provide a car (as above) for use on your practical driving test, subject to your reaching a
suitable standard considered to be safe. If in our opinion, your driving could be a danger to public safety, then the
offer of the use of our vehicle will be withdrawn. You would then need to make your own arrangements for a car and
confirm that your insurance company is aware that you are attending a driving test.
Personal Property We accept no responsibility for any property left in our vehicle.
Code of Conduct Your Instructor has been highly trained and has passed the Driving Standards Agency's strict examinations. Instructor's standard is also checked periodically by the agency. We cannot be held responsible for postponements of lessons due to Instructor illness, the vehicle's mechanical breakdown, nor for driving tests cancelled by the DSA (Driving Standards Agency). Your Instructor will try to make up any lost time to you, or arrange another lesson as soon as possible and at your convenience.
Fitness to Drive
Clients will arrive for tuition free from the effects of alcohol or drugs otherwise 24 hours notice must be given to cancel a lesson, no exceptions. |
